VOICES OF RESISTANCE & HOPE

The TEP Center in partnership with the National Museum of African American History & Culture will facilitate an online collection of personal stories from members of the African American community during the current crises in America.

The COVID-19 pandemic and the mass protest movement for police reforms and social justice are impacting the lives of millions of people around the world.

Participants may submit first-hand accounts, personal stories, essays, poems, photographs, short videos or observations.  Personal expressions can help to create shared experiences with others and reinforce what the community is longing for— American values of resiliency, optimism, and spirituality.

Submitting stories to Voices of Resistance and Hope is free! Given the sensitive nature of this project, each submission received will be reviewed and may be edited for clarity. There is no guarantee that stories submitted to Voices of Resistance and Hope will be shared by the Museum.
