On November 14, 2020 the City of New Orleans honored the courage of four with 60th Anniversary celebration at Gallier Hall. For far too long, the story of how Leona Tate, Gaile Etienne, and Tessie Prevost desegregated the previously all-white school McDonogh No. 19 in the Lower 9th Ward of New Orleans. NoireTV helped to bring worldwide recognition and global acclaim to the courage, bravery and sacrifice of these girls, now women and grandmothers.
