About the event
Join Dr. Leona Tate for a weekend trip to Ft. Smith, Arkansas, to visit the US Marshals Museum and National Learning Center. The museum is located on Arkansas Riverfront and boasts a unique exterior with a modified star-shaped design signifying the star badge worn by courageous U.S. Marshals. Inside, five immersive galleries (To Be A Marshal, The Campfire: Stories Under The Stars, Frontier Marshals, A Changing Nation, and Modern Marshals) educate guests about the critical, ever-evolving role the Marshals have played in upholding the Rule of Law, driven by justice, integrity, and service. The Museum’s National Learning Center combines the Museum experience with educational programming focused on the Constitution, the Rule of Law, and civic literacy.
The Foundation is especially excited about the “A Changing Nation” exhibit, which focuses on the role of US Marshals during the struggle for Civil Rights in America. We can’t wait to see what familiar names and faces are included in the exhibit!!
A detailed trip itinerary is coming soon, but don’t want to wait, reserve your seat!
This is sure to be an inspiring experience that you won’t forget.
